Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the 2021 Annual Legal Awards atThe Lawyers Global platform. Please read the terms in full before you proceed with submitting your law firm.
The Parties
The Lawyers Global® - a registered trademark property of TLGO - Ranking services, Lda. - C.R.C. Lisboa No. 515871117, and the Law Firm represented by the Applicant hereinafter referred to as the "Parties" mutually agree to accept the 2021 Annual Legal Awards following Terms and Conditions.
Award Entry Submission Eligibility
- All law firms are entitled to submit their firms to the Annual Legal Awards, with no geographical restriction.
- The law firm must be officially authorized to practice law as a business entity formed by one or more lawyers to engage in law practice.
- Legal process outsourcing companies (LPOs) may be considered eligible if the firm makes proof of being legally authorized to practice law as defined in be previous point 2).
- Individual legal practitioners, herein designated as Lawyer, Attorney, Barrister, Counsel, Solicitor, or other naming conventions attributed to the private practice of law, are not eligible unless proven as a Law Firm entity.
- Firms that are already listed do not need to submit their entries unless they wish to apply for the Annual Legal Awards in new or different jurisdictions (e.g., opening a new office in a different country).
- The Applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the submitted data or information and accountable for any misconduct or misrepresentation of the law firm applying to the Annual Legal Awards.

Any misrepresentation, untruthfulness, or misconduct attributed to the Applicant is of its sole responsibility and considered as an illegal practice.
- The Lawyers Global® has the right to report to all the competent authorities, without exception, to violate these Terms and Conditions.

- The Applicant and the Law Firm have the rights to their privacy granted by the Privacy Policy GDPR and CCPA compliant statements available on The Lawyers Global® websites.
Award Entries Submission Schedule
- First phase: :first_phase_dates.
- Second phase: :second_phase_dates.
- Last phase: :third_phase_dates.
After the last phase, the 2021 Annual Legal Awards will be closed, and we will not accept more applications for the current year edition.
Award Entry Submission Form Data
- The 2021 Annual Legal Awards submission form has five main sections:
- Applicant Information;
- Firm Information;
- Contact and Billing Address;
- Choose your Awards Entry Plan
- Payment Method.
- The Applicant Information data is confidential and used solely for accountability checking and communication between the Parties.
- Some fields in the Firm Information area are required. These fields are for verification purposes and to process the entry in our system.
- The Lawyers Global® gives additional importance to Law Firms that submit their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service URLs and the data requested in the optional form fields.
- The Contact and Billing Address information serves for billing and invoicing purposes. If any additional data is required, our team will request it directly by email to the Applicant.
- After submitting the form, the Applicant will receive an email from The Lawyers Global® team to confirm the email address.
- The email address confirmation is required to activate the process.
- Non-confirmed email addresses will result in the suspension of the submission process until the email is confirmed. The Applicant may always contact us if he/she does not receive the email within 24h after submitting the form.
- The email confirmation will automatically generate a user account where the Applicant can manage his information, including all the GDPR and CCPA appropriate regulatory actions concerning all the rights for personal data privacy.
Entry Fees
According to the selected plan described below, the 2021 Annual Legal Awards have a one-time processing fee and a small transaction fee indexed to the selected Payment Method as described below.
- Award entry with simple directories' listing
Your firm will be immediately listed in the respective country and awards directories only;Price: €:award_entry*
- Award entry with a fully customized profile page
Your firm will be listed immediately in the respective country and awards directories, get a full customized profile page, and a public announcement made on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, linked to your new profile page

* Prices are indexed to the current phase period, After the first phase, prices will increase 20% on each phase described above in the Award Entries Submission Schedule section.
Payment
The payment is due as soon as the invoice is issued and sent to the Applicant. The submission suspension takes place if the funds are not received within five business days. In case the payment is not received within this period, or the firm decides to cancel or not to pay, the firm will be charged 50% of the invoice amount that must be paid within two business days. If this payment still doesn't occur, The Lawyers Global® reserves the right to proceed legally against the firm.
Payment Method
The payment method must be selected, and the Applicant may request, by email, changes to the payment method before the invoice is issued. After the invoice is issued, the request to change the payment method will trigger a Credit Note and a new Invoice.
Available payment methods are Credit or Debit cards via PayPal™, secure transaction, PayPal™ funds, Wire Transfer. For PayPal™ payments with debit or credit cards, you do not have to have a PayPal™ account.
Fees
- Entry fee after April 25, 2021, is for option A) €:award_late_entry and for option B) €:late_entry_with_profile_activation
- Transaction fees:
- PayPal™ account balance payment fee: :paypal_pp_fee%.
- Secure Payment with Debit or Credit card 1 via PayPal™ payment fee: :paypal_cc_fee%.
- Bank Wire Transfer payment fee:
- €:wire_transfer_sepa for SEPA countries.
- €:wire_transfer_non_sepa for non-SEPA countries.
- Suspended Application reactivation: €:award_suspended_reactivation
- Late entry fee: described above in point 1).
1. Please note that if you use your credit card as the payment method via PayPal™, you may also be charged a cash advance fee by your card issuer.
In case of any existing promotional campaigns offered by The Lawyers Global®, corresponding to the 2021 Annual Legal Awards submissions, the processing fee that applies is defined by the special offer. Within its duration and the respective transaction fee not included in the discount.
Refund Policy
The Lawyers Global® grants you a full money-back guarantee for the 2021 Annual Legal Awards subscription as described below.
- If requested, we will refund the paid submission in full within the period of five business days, excluding the transaction fees.
- After five business days and within the next five days, we will refund you 50% of the paid submission fee, excluding the transaction fees.
- After ten business days, if the submission is processed, you will not be eligible for a refund concerning the Annual Legal Awards submission process.
Awards and Rankings processes
After we receive your entry, it will be validated, and only then we will inform you about the acceptance decision. If accepted, the due payment is received, your firm will be listed, ranked, and awarded according to the respective categories.
The 2021 Annual Legal Awards has four main categories:
- Country Awards (e.g., France);
- Sub-Regional Awards (e.g., Northen-America America);
- Continent Awards (e.g., Asia);
- Global Awards.
Each Award category will have one Winner firm and a variable number of Outstanding firms, depending on the country, sub-region, and continent.
When the firm is approved, it will be listed along with the "SHORTLISTED FIRM 2021" information.
The Process
Our proprietary algorithms are responsible for processing the rankings and awards to achieve the first list of awarded firms by category. Our teams will review the results, which will then be subject to final adjustments if needed.
The results will run, for controlling purposes, in a testing environment for a week. This process is an automated method that allows us to ensure the maximum reliability of the ranked and awarded law firms' results and information results and information.
In the next step, The Lawyers Global® Awards team communicates, by email, to each law firm, the respective ranking position(s), and achieved award(s). Note: The Lawyers Global® is not accountable for the firm not receiving the email due to their servers blocking our email server, mails being deleted at the firm, or by their computerized systems.
One week after, between August and September, we will publicly announce the final results of the 2021 Annual legal Awards on The Lawyers Global® online platform, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
Disputes and Resolution
The Lawyers Global® grants the right to any ranked and awarded law firm to resolve any conflict, complaint, query about its ranking or award, or formally request its removal from our listings.
To do so, the law firm needs to contact our Awards Department and expose its reasons or questions concerning the award or ranking.
Our teams will reply in due time. In case it is necessary to take any action, such as the removal or re-evaluation, the process will take place within a maximum of two weeks, and our decision or action(s) will be communicated by email to the law firm via the Applicant.
Governing Jurisdiction
This Legal Notice shall be governed by and construed following Portuguese law. Any dispute(s) arising in connection with this Legal Notice is subject to Portugal's exclusive jurisdiction.
